Ashley Phillips is the founder behind the HOME AGAIN app. Her start up is based out of Los Angeles, Ca. The idea came to her during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020. She was working a temporary position as a security officer at a "shelter in place" recreational center in Chinatown. This time frame was enough for her to be able to see a major gap in available resources that have become overly exhausted by the growing homeless population of California. Ms. Phillips wanted to figure out a way that would help people in these situations on a mass scale that allows everyone to get involved in charitable causes and breaking down the belief that you have to be a millionaire to afford to give back. Hence the HOME AGAIN app. The purpose of this app is to provide services for eligible participants in need through in-app purchases. This also will lighten the load of government assistance programs. I believe that a lot of people out there want to help the homeless population, but they want to make sure their donation is going to help and not hinder. Well, Here it is!
